Presidential pardon for convicts in Egypt, including Ahmed Doma

The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, issued a republican decree pardoning some of those sentenced to final sentences, including the activist Ahmed Doma, a decision that comes within the scope of his constitutional powers.
Today, it was announced that 30 of the pretrial detainees had been released in accordance with the rules governing the committee’s work.
On Saturday, local Egyptian sources published the names of those released by the presidential pardon, including the political activist Ahmed Saad Doma, known as “Ahmed Doma.”
This comes after 10 years that Duma spent in prison to implement a final sentence of 15 years in rigorous imprisonment, in the case known in the media as the “Cabinet Events” case, which dates back to 2011 in the wake of the January 25 revolution.
The decision to release Doma comes in response to the demands issued by various political and partisan forces during the last period, which demanded the release of the prominent political activist for several considerations, on top of which is his health condition.
And also in conjunction with the state of national dialogue taking place in Egypt, with the participation of various political and partisan forces
